An advanced smocking technique made easy. Stacking cables is fun and easy once you understand the basic concept. In uniform stacking you work with an uneven number of cables, starting with a bottom cable (thread below the needles). After you get the knack of it, you can vary the number of cables according to your design. The important thing to remember is that top and bottom cables should sit on each other.
