Amrie - Knit Dropwaist Dress/Jumper, Top and Skirt sewing pattern for girls

"Amrie" is designed to make fast and easy garments using 100% cotton knits. Good quality cotton knit does not ravel so the neckline and armholes of the dress and top may be simply turned under and topstitched. The same is true for the hemline of the dress and the ruffles on the top and the skirt. The knit is very easy to sew. No special techniques are needed.

The dropwaist dress may be sewn with a back button closing or the center back may be placed on the fold to create a pull over dress - easy to sew and easy to dress. The pull over dress is recommended for 100% cotton knits because it eliminates the need for buttonholes, which can be tricky to sew on the knit fabric. (Note: This is the only place I've had a problem with stretching when sewing the knit fabrics.)

The knit top features a ruffled hemline and three creative fabric flowers. The skirt has an elastic waist and a ruffled hemline. Pair the top and skirt for a unique look or wear the top with pants or shirts and wear your favorite purchased top with the skirt. The multi sized pattern includes sizes 4-8.
